Yo guys, I woke up this morning and it turns out Apple has been busy in the kitchen. Is it corny to say they’re cooking for breakfast? Maybe, but I’m a dad, so you gotta give me that one!
Look, Apple Creator Studio is finally here, and in my opinion, Apple is coming straight for Adobe, Splice, and Canva. They are locking in for the ultimate DAW wars, and it’s happening in real-time. Let’s break down why this is a massive game-changer for the creative economy.
One Collection, One Smart Subscription
First off, let’s talk numbers. Adobe has been charging a million dollars a month, okay, maybe not a million, but it feels like it, for their Creative Cloud. You can’t even get Photoshop and Premiere for less than $50/month usually.
Apple just dropped the hammer: $12.99 a month or $129 per year for the whole suite. If you’re a student or educator? $2.99 a month. That is absolutely insane. It is pennies on the dollar for the amount of value you’re getting here.
The All-Star Team of Apps:
-
Final Cut Pro: The ultimate video experience.
-
Logic Pro: The G.O.A.T. of DAWs in my humble opinion.
-
Pixelmator Pro: Coming for Photoshop’s neck with AI-powered image editing.
-
Motion and Compressor: For the pro-level graphics and exports.
-
The Office Suite: Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, now boosted with "Apple Intelligence."
Logic Pro: The Fast Track to the Final Mix 🎶
If you’ve been following the channel, you know I love Logic. The value was already crazy at a $200 one-time fee, but now it is part of this bundle.
The new AI Session Players are fire. If you’re weak at basslines or keyboard melodies, Logic’s AI can jump in and play along with your musical style in real-time. And don’t even get me started on the Stem Splitter. We’ve tested a lot of these, but Apple’s tech is top-tier, isolating vocals and drums with incredible precision.
Also, a huge shoutout to The Kount! Seeing his drum kits integrated into the massive sound library is a win for the culture. That man will spend four hours on a percussion loop just to get the texture right. That is the level of quality we are talking about.
Final Cut Pro and The "Beat Detection" Hack
For my short-form creators on TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts, Apple just made your life easier.
The new Beat Detection matches your music’s rhythm so you can align clips effortlessly. You know those transitions that go fwoosh-fwoosh-fwoosh right on the beat? Final Cut does that automatically now. Plus, the Transcript Search lets you find a specific soundbite just by typing a keyword. No more scrubbing through hours of footage.
The "Apple Intelligence" Factor 🤖
Apple isn’t lagging in the AI race anymore; they’re playing strategically. Through their partnership with OpenAI, they are bringing ChatGPT’s image generation and smart writing tools directly into the OS.
Imagine generating a pitch deck in Keynote where the AI summarizes your notes and generates custom images for your slides without you ever leaving the app. That is the flow state Apple is trying to protect.
The Verdict: Is it Worth it?
If you are already in the Apple ecosystem, especially if you are rocking an M-series chip like the M1 through the new M4, this is a no-brainer. The synergy between the iPhone, using the Final Cut Camera app, and the Mac Mini or iPad is unmatched.
Apple is building a wall around the creative process, and they are making it cheaper and faster than ever to stay inside.
What do you guys think? Is $12.99 enough to make you ditch the Adobe subscription? Let me know in the comments below!
Stay creative, stay cooking. Peace! ✌🏾
