Privacy Policy

1. The short version

We collect what we need to sell you digital products and support you afterward: your email, your orders, your license activations, and your support messages. We also measure site usage and advertising performance so we can improve the storefront. We do not sell your data, and payment card numbers never touch our servers.

2. What we collect

  • Account: your email address and a securely hashed password, or your sign in identity if you use a login provider.
  • Orders: what you bought, when, and for how much, along with the payment processor's reference for the transaction. Card numbers are handled entirely by Stripe.
  • Licenses and activations: for plugins, the machine name and operating system of each computer you activate, so you can manage your seats.
  • Downloads: which products you download and when, used for delivery and abuse prevention.
  • Support: messages you send us by email or through the support chat on the site.
  • Newsletter: your email address if you sign up, which you can leave at any time via the unsubscribe link.
  • Site usage: pages and sections viewed, scroll depth, clicks, time spent, referral and campaign information, browser type, device information, and an analytics visitor or session identifier.

3. How we use it

  • Delivering purchases: your library, downloads, receipts, and product ready emails.
  • Licensing: activating plugins and letting you free seats.
  • Support: answering your questions with context about your own account.
  • Abuse prevention: rate limiting downloads and spotting fraudulent orders.
  • Product updates and offers, only if you opted in to email.
  • Analytics and advertising measurement: understanding which content is useful, improving page layout, measuring campaigns, and preventing broken or frustrating experiences.

4. The support assistant

The chat widget on the site is an AI assistant. When you use it while signed in, it can read your own account data (purchases, licenses, downloads) to answer your questions. It cannot change anything on your account, and it can only see the account you are signed in to. Chat messages are processed by our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate responses.

5. Services that process data for us

We use a small set of processors to run the store. Each receives only what it needs:

  • Stripe: payment processing.
  • Supabase: account authentication and our database.
  • Cloudflare: secure file storage and delivery of product downloads.
  • Resend: transactional email such as receipts and password resets.
  • Thinkific: hosts our course school; purchases there are subject to their processing too.
  • Shopify: our previous storefront. Order history from that store is used to honor purchases you already made.
  • Anthropic: powers the support chat, as described above.
  • Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics: aggregate site traffic and performance measurement.
  • Meta: advertising measurement and conversion reporting through the Meta Pixel.
  • Microsoft Clarity, when enabled: heatmaps and session-level interaction recordings used to understand clicks, attention, and scroll behavior. Sensitive form fields are not intentionally included.

We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

6. Cookies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and secure the checkout flow. Analytics and advertising services may also use cookies or similar browser identifiers to measure sessions, campaign performance, clicks, and conversions. You can limit these technologies through your browser's privacy controls and the controls offered by the relevant service.

7. Retention

Account and order records are kept for as long as your account exists, and afterward as needed for tax and accounting requirements. Support conversations are kept as long as they are useful for helping you. If you delete your account, we remove personal data that we are not legally required to keep.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data. Email support@busyworksbeats.com from your account email and we will handle it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, and we honor those requests too.

9. Security

Passwords are hashed, downloads are delivered over encrypted connections with expiring links, and access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you.

10. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The date at the top shows the latest revision, and material changes will be announced on the site.
